Omar Vizquel is an Indian. The Mets can have Lindor. No question whenever anyone thinks of Omar’s heyday it’s with Cleveland.

Bryan, I think when people think of Omar Vizquel they absolutely see him in an Indians uniform. It's a weird confluence that sees him in Seattle (where they'd rather have A-Rod, who's in New York).
All players in Eternal Baseball have their stats set by averaging their best three consecutive seasons to find their athletic peak. Defense matters too, and no one (maybe Ozzie) has Omar's glove at shortstop. Using OPS as a basic comparison, Omar Vizquel (.771 OPS) would rank SEVENTH among shortstop-eligible Indians on the Eternal Baseball roster. In order, it's Nap LaJoie (HOF) at .912, Joe Sewell (HOF) at .858, Francisco Lindor & Lou Boudreau (HOF) at .856, Carlos Baerga at .833, and Julio Franco at .781.
In the end it was better for Vizquel to be starting in Seattle than buried on the inactive roster in Cleveland. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes a truly outstanding player can't find playing time on a team with a century plus of history to pull from. Matt Williams is a good example too - known best as a Giant but can't make their active roster, while he's the starting third baseman for Arizona.
