We have received lots of lineup tweak suggestions from fans both here and over on Facebook. We really appreciate the insight - we are never going to know a team better than its own diehard fans. Some of the suggestions stem from a misunderstanding of how stats are calculated.
Eternal Baseball looks at the best three consecutive seasons for each player and averages them to isolate the statistical peak for their career. Using career WAR (for the team they are representing) we build a list of candidates for each squad, and also considered defensive ability, lefty/righty splits, and positional flexibility. We built the most competitive rosters possible for all 32 teams, 25 active players and a 15-man inactive roster with a mix of position players and pitchers but always at least one catcher.
Here are some of the fan-suggested lineup changes that we have implemented in time for Opening Day. Thanks again for your help!

Add Carlos Guillen SS/2B/3B/LF to the inactive roster
