Thanks for giving us your input - we love fan feedback, and if it makes statistical sense we always implement it. We build our stats using the best three consecutive seasons of each player's career averaged to isolate their statistical peak. This can benefit someone with brief dominance over someone with long-term outstanding play. It's not "Who are the greatest players in the history of all the MLB franchises (plus the Negro Leagues)?" It's "If you stood every player up all in their absolute athletic primes, who would your team select from its history to play one season for an Eternal Championship?" Omar is absolutely the most legendary (and beloved) shortstop in Cleveland history - but take alook at how he stacks up with Francisco Lindor and Hall of Famers Lou Boudreau/Joe Sewell according to their peak stats:
