Here are the final Giants statistics for Season Two. Please bear in mind that there are sometimes players with outstanding numbers but limited at-bats or innings pitched. The obvious “why didn’t they play more” question is usually answered in three ways:
• The batter hit so well because of a significant platoon split, and the numbers would have sank if they had played against both left and right-handed pitchers.
• Because every player’s statistical baseline is altered from 30% up to 30% down every season (randomly, and impossible to view that ratio) sometimes a player with a powerful positive modifier isn’t discovered until later in the season.
• Injuries may have limited the player’s availability during the season.
As always, we are happy to take lineup suggestions from fans, so if you see someone killing it for your favorite team, or a lineup change you'd like to see for Season Three, let us know. We want every team to be as competitive as possible!
