They say that bad things come in threes and that was never more true than this week in Eternal Baseball. Season-ending injuries are rare but they are possible in Eternal Baseball - Brewers pitcher Teddy Higuera will miss the rest of Season Four with an elbow injury, and now he'll be seeing three new faces at his physical therapy appointments: Yankees center fielder Mickey Mantle tore his ACL on an awkward misstep as he fielded John Olerud's single on December 31st. Joe DiMaggio and Aaron Judge will get most of the playing time in center field for New York, but Bernie Williams has been added to the roster as well. Nationals second baseman Daniel Murphy was hit on the knee by Pirates starter Deacon Phillippe on New Year's Eve and the news couldn't be worse - it's a patella fracture that will cost Murphy the rest of the season. Danny Espinosa will get most of the playing time at second base, while Gerardo Parra was also added to the Nationals roster. Twins catcher Mitch Garver clutched his stomach and immediately left Sunday's game against the Rays. Tests after the game revealed diverticulitis that will sideline Garver for the rest of the season. Earl Battey was called up to the main roster to serve as Joe Mauer's primary backup.
