Eternal Baseball includes all thirty current Major League franchises, as well as the returning Montreal Expos and the new Birmingham Knights (featuring the greatest players from the Negro Leagues). Having 32 teams gives us the opportunity for a little realignment, into eight four-team divisions. Today we introduce the streamlined National League East - Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Washington Nationals. Who's your favorite to win this division in the inaugural season of Eternal Baseball? Just me being a Phillies fan, but I think Carlos Ruiz deserves a look on this team. Personally, I'd put him before the others, no disrespect yo any, but Chooch's ability to handle pitchers gives him the edge I think. Tell me your thoughts.

I looked into the numbers and you're absolutely right. Ruiz's peak seasons averaged land him the backup catcher spot behind Darren Daulton. Mike Lieberthal slides to the inactive roster and Andy Seminick gets his outright release. Thank you for your feedback!

So, other than the HoF SPs, Cole Hamels was the top in WAR so how does he wind up getting left out completely?

Chris, you're absolutely right and thank you for catching this error. I'm not sure how we lost track of Hamels because he's listed right in the roster story. Regardless, we have fixed the error and Hamels in on Philadelphia's main roster, moving Steve Bedrosian to the inactive roster and getting Curt Simmons released altogether.
